1、Working Principle
Friction damper (FD), which consumes the input energy through the friction slip between components, is used in engineering because of its simple structure, stable performance and large damping force. For the structure with friction damper, under the normal service load, the friction damper provides additional stiffness for the structure without sliding itself; Under the action of moderate and large earthquakes, friction dampers consume and absorb earthquake input energy by producing friction slip to do work, providing additional damping for the structure, thereby reducing the structural response.

2、 Product Features
Friction damper (FD) is the friction generated by the relative slip between steel plate and friction plate, which converts the vibration energy of buildings into heat energy, so as to reduce the structural vibration. Its characteristics are:
- When the starting condition is not reached (large earthquake), the friction damper does not start, and its effect is equivalent to that of the rigid tie rod. The effect of the whole device is basically the same as that of the ordinary support.
- When the starting condition is reached, the friction damper starts to start, and uses its damping, friction and plastic deformation properties to dissipate seismic energy, thus improving the safety and reliability of the structure.
- Stable performance and good durability.
- Low maintenance cost.
3、Product detection
The performance test and performance index of friction damper products are strictly in accordance with Section 12.3 of the Seismic Code for Building Structures (GB50011-2010) and the relevant provisions of 7.2 and 6.2 of the Energy Dissipation Damper for Buildings (JG/T-209-2012).
The acceptance standards for friction damper products shall strictly refer to Section 12.3 of the Seismic Code for Building Structures (GB50011-2010) and 8 and 9 of the Energy Dissipation Damper for Buildings (JG/T-209-2012)
The friction damper products developed by our company have been tested and proved to have stable performance and meet the specification requirements.
4、 Installation Instructions
The upper and lower connecting plates are fixed with the embedded parts, and the friction damper is fixed on the upper and rear sections of the embedded parts by bolts or welding for reinforcement.
